Meet Didi
My name is Didi, the founder of Glowed Up by Didi. My journey is rooted in both knowledge and purpose, with an academic background in Education, Communication, and Psychology. While my path began in spaces of learning and understanding people, I found my true calling in a place I never expected – hair.
What started as an unexpected passion has grown into something deeply meaningful. As a self-taught loctician, I have discovered a gift that goes beyond technique. This journey has shown me that I can do anything I set my mind to, and more importantly, it has allowed me to pour that belief into others.
For me, locs are more than a style; they are a crown, a story, and a journey. The most fulfilling part of my work is being able to restore not just hair, but hope. Through each transformation, I create a space where my clients feel seen, cared for, and renewed. There is a quiet healing that happens in my chair; through conversation, through care, and through the gentle touch that many have come to describe as calming, even restful.
Glowed Up by Didi was built with intention: to offer more than beauty, but a holistic experience that nurtures both appearance and soul. I am committed to walking every step of the loc journey with my clients; guiding, supporting, and holding space for them as they grow in confidence and self-love.
